Our possessions become a projection of the self. We use them to signal to ourselves, and others, who we want to be and where we want to belong. And long after weβre gone, they become our legacy. This concept was inspired by the preservation of childhood objects, how they are loved and cherished to when they become a disregarded fragment of our past. This object being represented by a ballerina on a musical box conveys her journey as a relic. Aided by illustrations by Robyn Payne that reference ballet motifs we follow the evolution of a childhood object through time. Objects from our childhood become physical representations of our past, holding memories and meaning. But what happens when we grow up?
