Folklore is the custom of passing on traditional beliefs through generations. Preserving spoken tales that influence cultural practises, such as placing a tooth under your pillow as you sleep to wake up and find money. The ritualised disposal of baby teeth has been present in both ancient and modern cultures. The mythology behind the Tooth Fairy has connections to Nordic beliefs, the Scandinavian God Æsir gives Freyr the entire realm of the elves as a gift for his first tooth. This translated into Viking culture with the Vikings paying children for their lost teeth and being worn as lucky charms in battle. The Journey of the Tooth Fairy follows our tiny fairy through forests and fields as she exchanges a coin for a lost tooth. An exchange of what is valuable.
